What is self-study?
In order to help you become independent learners of English, teachers will ask you to create a study plan, do self-study, and check what you did. A Study Plan, therefore, is different from homework assignments. If your course assignments include English Central for example, simply completing the designated assignment does not count as “Self Study.” Within your study plan, you may try to improve your GSE score, Benchmark Test Score, TOEFL score, or prepare for other English tests. You may also want to improve your vocabulary or grammar knowledge, listening, reading, speaking or writing skills. It is basically up to you! Purpose of Self-Study: In the English program, we want students to develop the ability to set and achieve their goals for English! 学習計画の目的:英語プログラムでは、学生が英語習得に向けて自ら目標を立て、達成することができるようになることを期待しています。 |
